Union Yoga’s Yin Yoga Training teaches a grounded, functional, and trauma-sensitive approach to Yin.
This 2-day training focuses on what actually happens in the body, how to support diverse students, and how to teach Yin with clarity, permission, and safety.
You’ll Learn:
The 5 Yin Archetypes + accessible variations
Functional anatomy for Yin: tension vs. compression, skeletal variation, fascia awareness
How to cue Yin in a supportive, agency-centered, and choice-based way
How to guide stillness, long holds, and transitions with safety and intention
How to offer Yin-appropriate adjustments, including: – optional, consent-based touch – hands-off visual adjustments – verbal and prop-supported adjustments
How to structure Yin classes that are safe, inclusive, and accessible
How to modify for beginners, mobility differences, joint sensitivity, and injuries
How to use props to support a wide range of bodies
By the end of this training, you’ll feel confident teaching Yin in a way that is physically safe, emotionally supportive, and deeply grounding for every student.
